Subsidence Claims

Our subsidence team provide a service which is virtually unique in the current market place.

We have spent many years honing our service and are now able to offer a fully integrated investigation, consideration and rectification service which deals with all aspects of subsidence claims. This includes site investigation, engineering advice, insurance loss adjusting consideration, specification preparation, tendering and pricing, supervision of repairs and of course, subrogation recovery capability.

This product is called “Project Managed-PLUS”.

From our first involvement with the claim the intention is to provide a fully detailed investigation and consideration of the claim. In order to achieve this our subsidence specialists are accompanied on their initial visit by site investigation contractors who are capable of excavating trial pits and boreholes, taking soil samples, root samples and undertaking drainage inspections. GHG can therefore achieve in one visit what many of our competitors take several months to complete.

This approach allows us to determine the cause of damage, plan mitigation measures consider policy cover before we leave site.

In addition we offer a single fee option covering both the adjusting and engineering aspects rather than the multiple layered fee approached offered by many of our competitors, which inevitably, results in an element of duplication.

Our approach significantly reduced the life cycle of a claim which has obvious benefits for insurers and their policyholders.

From the outset the policyholder and insurers are kept fully informed of all developments and with monthly reviews files are progressed to conclusion far more swiftly than is the case with the more traditional techniques.

We have close links with site investigation contractors, drain repair companies, tree surgeons and specialist structural repair contractors.

We offer swift deliberation on the claim and also a swift resolution of matters in order to make liabilities clear.
